Just this morning, I was wondering about the “three days,” and found this beautiful explanation from you. Thank you!

Your writings are particularly helpful for me, by the way. I was a Christian in my youth, but turned away for many years, probably because none of it made intellectual sense to me... but now I’ve returned. Maybe “return” is not the right word here: because my faith (and understanding) is stronger and deeper now than it was then.

I think returned is an appropriate word. 😀 We all grow in understanding of the Lord the longer we live in daily relationship with him. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for not understanding something. Nobody but God understands it all.

Thank you for your encouragement. When I started writing a couple months ago, I wondered if anyone would read anything, or if they did whether I would say anything helpful, or whether they would care. Your feedback brings a smile to my face. God bless you.

Funny, as I was driving around today, I kept asking myself why "Good" Friday? It's a day of suffering. Why not Passion day? or Day of Lamentation? I also wondered about the on the 3rd day vs in 3 days. Doesn't Jesus say something along the lines of "tear down this temple and I will rebuild it in 3 days"? Which is His death/resurrection. Now that makes more sense with the count starting on the day. You have cleared up quite a few puzzles. Thank you and Happy Easter, David. Rebirth and renewal.

P.S. Why don't Catholics eat meat on Good Fridays?

I’m glad that was helpful. Unfortunately, I’m not a good source for Catholic stuff, given I grew up Protestant. 😀
