I attended a Bible study at church recently that talked about loving our neighbors.

”Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.“

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So very hard to do these days. 😢

Super difficult. Everything in society these days seems to be done to tear us apart and put up walls between us. It's really Satanic at heart. Remember that God cares about the Kingdom of God, not about the Kingdoms of Men. Jesus was hanging on a cross after hours of incredible torture and yet he forgave those who did it, because he knew what was at stake. He was focused on the Kingdom of God. And so should we be. That doesn't mean that we compromise our principles or "let them get away with it." It means keeping our eyes on the prize. One thing that has helped me is asking myself, "Is this emotion that I'm feeling right now, do these thoughts that I'm thinking right now, do they advance the Kingdom of God or cause it to retreat? How would Jesus handle this?

A very good question to ask ourselves.

I highlight the passages I love but also the passages that pertain to or parallel what is going on today.

I highlight passages I want to remember, to review each time I pass through, and to make it easier to find when I search for them. Equal opportunity.
