Insightful message. I'm mostly in spiritual warfare, not sure if it stems from my flesh or if it's attack from human enemies or "the enemy". I do read the Word but i've a tough time controlling my spirit. I'll remember to follow the guidelines from your article to learn obedience to God.
Thank you David for this message. We must all keep our eye on the ball and not be distracted. It is also a comfort to know that my brothers and sisters in Christ are feeling the same things that I am. Much of my own family may have turned their backs on me, but I know that I can always count on Jesus and my Bible to get me through anything.
Wonderful message as always - inspiring, instructive, and important! I needed it and loved it thank you! Also enjoying all the comments, very uplifting :)).
Thank you, I needed to hear that. You are correct, we must be Kingdom minded and keep our eyes focused on our King…Christ Jesus. Whenever we feel the worry, anxiety, and fear resulting from worldly concerns we must know that is our internal alarm system reminding us that our focus has shifted from our Lord and Savior to earthly matters. This world is not our home. Thank God that we are homeward bound where there is no pain, grief, sickness, sorrow, fear, etc. our Good Shepherd is leading us home if we believe and follow Him.
My husband and I are sitting here watching Pilgrim’s Progress for the umpteenth time bc it is so encouraging. We all must wake each morning and suit up in the whole armor of God (Eph. 6).
May the Lord bless and keep you and all of us and may we all step up in obedience to proclaim the precious name of Jesus to this lost, dying, and dead world.

It makes me happy to hear that. Thank you for your kind words. The truth is, I try to ask God what to write about and he puts things on my heart. So, thank him for it. I just typed it. 😀
Also, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad this helped. As I said in the personal note, it helped me just writing it. Share it with your twin and anybody else in your circle that needs some encouragement. And if you need the same encouragement every day, come back and read it again. There's no extra charge. :-)
Dearest David. I am Leslie’s twin. I cannot even remember where I found your substack but I do know that it was God putting it in front of me. I shared with her. If not for my trust in Jesus - which was seriously lacking until one short year ago and the love and support of my twin, I would be curled up in a ball unable to do anything.
Through Christ all things are possible.
PS - I read the previous substack that you referenced here and have a comment to make to it that I know you will love. Stay tuned.
Thanks for the inspirational article. I praise, pray, and listen to the Bible every day, and I always ask to hear His voice and to know His will for me so that I can do it. I'm just not certain I know what that is. How do you know? Very tricky, indeed.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you liked the article. Yep, knowing that you're hearing God's voice takes practice. As Leslie so memorably put it in the other comment, I think the key is to just shut up and quiet your mind. And sometimes God won't answer during your prayer time. He might answer later in the day when you're in the middle of a situation. But yes, as you say, very tricky, indeed.
Thanks you for writing this, God bless 🙏
"Once you start to focus on playing your part in God’s Kingdom, everything else is noise."
Yes, but the noise is deafening.
What Jesus commands us to do, when understood, appears to be extremely challenging. But there is help available, and what good alternatives are there?

God Bless you David and thank you for this message. It’s important to keep this perspective and especially in these times.

This is a great point. Thank you.
I felt like you wrote this article for me. This is exactly what I’ve been struggling with. I really needed this message. Thank you for writing it.

Thank you I needed this. Actually I need this EVERY SINGLE DAY!! My twin & I talk every day about current events. Some days we can’t even keep up.
A girlfriend shared a saying years ago that we remind each other.
I HEARD A WORD FROM THE LORD THIS MORNING & IT WAS SHUT UP.
Jesus Won ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. He is ENOUGH. Blessings to you.
This is great - love it! 😂🙏🏻

Love these comments from you and your sister - so sweet, so glad you have each other! ♥️♥️
🥰😘❤️
Aha! Now I'm making connections. Well, thanks to you both.
"I HEARD A WORD FROM THE LORD THIS MORNING & IT WAS SHUT UP."
Ha! I love it. Indeed. We need to listen a lot more than we talk during our prayer time.
