Really appreciate all the references and examples here, as well as the re-framing of the question in the first place. Lately, it has been seeming to be more productive in my environs to pray for folks to be drawn to Him, in the ways that He knows that will reach them, on His timetable, and to lend me grace when/if they ever broach such things with me. I was raised in the "beat them over the head with the Bible" style long ago, and witnessed that to be very unhelpful, perhaps because it was geared much more for a tally, rather than for our Lord's will. But I know also He can work even through that method, lol. Grateful to you!
I’m glad it was helpful. Yea, we don’t ever convert anyone. The Holy Spirit does all the work. We’re just called to be obedient to present the gospel to people so they have heard it, the the Spirit takes over.
Georges Lemaître had Holy Orders conferred upon him as a member of the Society of Jesus aka the Jesuits. If true I would generally not believe him. Thoughts?
Generally anything out of the Vatican and the Jesuits. Is the Vatican " simple christianity" ? I Timothy 6:20 .. avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely called. It would appear most science is false. I am a former "conspiracy theorist" and one rabbit hole led me to faith.
Must have run out of words. Trimajestus was an alchemist/ magi and said the power unseen holding things together sounds like gravity. Maynard Keynes bought some of Newtons papers/letters and discovered this. So to me i see it that you dont need to "defend" faith against science ask them to prove their thoeries.
Keep writing my friend, it just struck me as false especially Issac Newton.
Yes, Newton’s interest and explorations of alchemy are well known. I don’t think that necessarily makes Newton a non-Christian. I do think it makes him a flawed and perhaps sinful Christian.
I was Roman Cathlic and even superficially the Vatican and Jesuits are not christians. There are many fine christian priests, our local parish priest, Fr. Stephen in particular, so i hope to meet him in heaven. You are Protestant, born out of the Reformation. Martin Luther and his "Sola scriptura" was out manouvered by catholics asking him why he worships on a Sunday. He had no answer in the Bible because it was a Vatican invention. I follow your posts looking for inspiration and usually find a few gems. Equating Catholic priest (jesuits), Issac Newton, alchemist and follower of Hermes Trimajestus,
I'm still not sure what your point is, other than you have a general dislike of Catholicism and a specific dislike of Jesuits. I’m Protestant and have some big disagreements with Catholic doctrine at many points, but I still generally regard the Catholic Church as (at least superficially) Christian. Indeed, I have said before that while I’m sure I will meet many Catholics in heaven, they will have gotten there in spite of their Catholicism and not because of it.

Thank you David. Love your teachings.
My pleasure! Thanks for the feedback.

Not believe him about what?
