Who is your favorite Bible character? It’s a simple question.
Personally, after Jesus, of course, my favorite is King David, for the following reasons:
I’m named after him, so that’s a good head start.
Second, he was called a man after God’s own heart. He had such a close connection with God that he was promised that the Messiah would come from his line and would reign forever, what is known as the Davidic Covenant.
His faith was huge. Imagine taking the field against Goliath with only five smooth stones and a sling. Imagine hiding for years from Saul in caves, being obedient to God even while the king was trying to kill you.
But while he was in some ways larger than life, he was also sinful. He was a murderer and an adulterer.
So, who’s your favorite and why?

Balaam's ass. God can use anything
Elijah because I love his sarcasm with the people who believed in Baal the false god.
