I agree with everything you said here except that unbelievers are our 'brother and sisters'. In Matthew 12:48-50 :He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” The unbeliever is made in the image of God, and has potential to become a child of the Father... and hence our brother and sisters. Right now, they are lost, just as I was. We pray that the Lord would give us eyes to see people as He sees them; to empower us to be witnesses to His gracious and merciful gift of redemption and freedom, to 'belonging'. I want for all people to come to Christ, but He is the One that draws them. Pray for open hearts.

Just curious. Doesn't Jesus say something about how you might as well tie a millstone around your neck as hurt one of the little ones? That does not sound like love or forgiveness. What do you think?

You're a better man than I, Gunga Din. I'll think on what you said...

Very hard to love one's enemies. I ask God everyday to forgive me for not being able to love them. I guess I could say I don't hate them, but love? I can forgive them, but love?

Can one love people who do evil? The child killer? I just don't know.

What an encouraging post. I've been thinking about this issue for awhile now and have come to the conclusion that our human pride is the root of all evil and the only way to counter that is by humility. I just wrote a post about it today. As you say, the end game is not who has the most power, money, political will, or who is zooming who, but the end game is who gets your eternal soul - satan or God. Evil comes from pride and leads to satan, while good comes from humility and leads to God.

What a world this would be with just a smidgeon of more humility!

Thank you for this post David. I agree that we must pray for those that are lost and being deceived, but for those that are at the very top who control what is going on in the world, I have my doubts that they are even human at this point. The Synagogue of Satan is still alive and active in these days we are experiencing. So many are being deceived, especially the youth that deserve our fervent prayer and help. Unfortunately, the Church is dropping the ball most of the time. We must also pray that the pastors have the discernment to see what is happening and spread the news to all of the parents and children in their congregations. If the people of God won't put on their armor and fight with what He taught us, then the world is truly lost.

Thanks, David — there is a lot to ponder here, and I appreciate you so clearly laying out what God’s plan for us is.

I grapple with these same issues, and have basically concluded that God has put me here, NOW, for this time... so what is my role? How can I do my part? I post a video every three weeks, here is my latest for anyone interested: https://rumble.com/v2mflkk--present-in-the-now-with-god-my-take-on-the-afa-and-lots-moreepisode-114.html

What a wonderful message. We are truly all created in His image and it’s so easy to forget from our perspective. I’m definitely trying to view it more from His. Thank you and God bless 🙏🏼
